Week Recap
Week 1
This week I learned a lot about time management and the importance of taking breaks and splitting up your time. I learned more about socioeconomic disparities and how that can affect a student's education and future.
I very much enjoyed what I was learning and completing, whether it was doing the senior slideshow or researching for my paper. I enjoyed meeting with Heidi or Lindsey and discussing the plan. I also liked how I was able to manage my own time. Everything happened as I expected/planned, which I was very happy with.
I have always had high hopes for senior project, so I am happy about the outcome so far. I have been very productive and have completed the hours sufficiently. It was definitely weird at first having no scheduled classes and not being in the typical routine, but it was really exciting and a change.
From this week's activities I benefited by almost completing the senior slideshow and feeling content with my essay. I benefited from this because I felt very productive and less stressed about the following week.
What I do helps me achieve my goal of finishing my concentration by setting aside about 5 hours each day toward my work. I have worked on minor and major edits to my paper. For the other part of my project, the senior slideshow, I have talked with Lindsey and I have a sheet of paper which helps me organize and keep track of how many photos I have of each kid. I have completed a total of about 25.5 hours this week, which keeps me on track to finish everything with the correct amount of hours, so I feel more at ease going into this week. Tomorrow I plan on starting with my paper and as the day goes on moving to the slideshow.
